Tamara Moore was born & raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota on April 11th, 1980. She was a standout high school basketball player at Minneapolis North High School where she helped lead the Lady Polars to the 1998 State Championship and Won the Ms. Basketball Award. She was ranked as the #1 Small Forward & #15 Overall by Blue Star Index. Tamara was named to the 1998 Nike/WBCA All-American Top 20 Team. Finished her career as the Points (2256), Rebounds (1044), Assist (530) & Steals (577) Leader in school history.
Tamara accepted a full ride scholarship to the University of Wisconsin Madison where she helped lead the Badgers to the 2000 WNIT Championship and was named the 2000 WNIT MVP. In 2016, Tamara was named to the WNIT All-Time Top 20 Tournament Team. She finished her career as a 1600+ scorer & All Time Leader in Assist & Steals (records still hold) in 2017 She was inducted into the Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame.
Tamara was drafted with the 15th overall pick to play in the WNBA for 6 seasons with teams including: Miami Sol, Minnesota Lynx, New York Liberty, Phoenix Mercury, Los Angeles Sparks and Houston Comets. She also played 6 seasons overseas in Israel & France. Tamara is currently the Owner of a Semi Pro Men's Team called TC Elite Basketball and TC Queen Elite where she served as the Head Coach.
In 2019, Tamara launched & is the CEO of the Official Basketball Association (The OBA League) a semi pro men’s basketball league that houses 60 teams nationally with team in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Texas, Indiana, Kansas City & many more markets that played their inaugural season in 2021.
Tamara has coached high school girls' basketball for 7 Seasons and now is currently the Head Men's Basketball Coach at Mesabi Range College in which she made history by becoming the 1st African American Woman to hold that distinction in history.
