The Sports Bra Project increases access to sports for women and girls by removing barriers to participation. We provide sports bras to athletes who don’t have access to such a basic piece of equipment.

The Sports Bra Project is designed to adapt to the resources and needs of interested individuals and organizations. Anyone can contact us and simply donate a new sports bra, or start a bra drive that can be organized by a team or group. We provide the flexibility needed for participants to decide how they want to run and scale their sports bra collection in the way that works best for them. Always An Athlete is a guidebook for athletes, fans and executives in the sports industries alike around the transition that all athletes must make when retiring from competitive sports. No matter what sport you played, community is necessary to keep moving forward. The three main pillars of the book that she builds her thesis on: Mental Health, Physical Health and Athlete Identity.

Ultimately Blackburn proposes the bicycle as a foundation to help retired athletes resolve lingering loss of identity, mental health issues such as anxiety disorders and depression and failure to change diet and exercise habits when they transition out of a performance purpose existence into their wellness chapter.

Break Point is the story of how two teenage girls jump-started a revolution in high school athletics. Peg Brenden, a senior, played tennis. Toni St. Pierre, a junior, was a cross country runner and skier. These two talented teenagers sought to compete on their high school teams. But in Minnesota in 1972 the only way onto the field with the boys ran through a federal court—so that was where the girls went. Break Point tells what it was like to battle an unequal system of high school athletics and set a legal precedent for gender equity. Author Sheri Brenden, Peg’s sister, will be on hand to sell and sign her book.

Minnesota Aurora is a women-led, community owned soccer team that plays in the USL W League.

Our club is dedicated to the dismantling of racism, misogyny, and bigotry of all kinds. We are dedicated to using soccer to bring together communities and lift up women and girls from marginalized communities.

As an active community participant, the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx organization is dedicated to assisting community organizations that focus on non-profit 501(c)(3) groups and education programs in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota and South Dakota. Shelly Bean the Sports Queen is a children's book series featuring a tough, little girl and her friends who love to learn new sports. Representation matters.
