After careful consideration and consultation, and in keeping with the University of Minnesota’s guidance for dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, the Women Coaches Symposium (WCS) Planning Committee has made the very difficult decision to postpone the WCS for this spring. We are looking at dates in the Fall to hold the event and will communicate with you as updates unfold.
With increased cases of COVID-19 locally and nationwide and with travel and large gatherings not recommended, we understand that people’s health is of paramount importance. We—and we know you—were very much looking forward to the WCS this year with a full programme and many great speakers; however, the risk in holding the event does not outweigh the health of each individual involved.
The theme of the WCS, Constellations, seems more appropriate now than ever. Constellations are small patterns within a bigger system. Constellations are roadmaps for a movement, and show the way by providing points of light to let others know they are not alone. Your network and community of women coaches and those who support you is always there, and that remains true in this unusual time. Take care of yourself and we look forward to reconvening our constellation when circumstances change.
For those who have already registered, we will be going through the process of refunding your purchase price. Please expect communications from the registration system in the very near future and to see the costs go back on your credit card.
