Dr. Jacobs has over twenty years of experience in K-12, higher education, and intercollegiate athletics. A collegiate volleyball coach, athletics administrator, and hall-of-fame volleyball student-athlete, she is committed to advancing inclusive, psychologically safe, and equitable environments.
Her doctoral research examined the impact of inclusion perceptions on Black women’s experiences in intercollegiate athletic administration. Dr. Jacobs co-founded Inclusion Inroads and is certified in the Intercultural Development Inventory, a professional development tool for increasing intercultural understanding. She has shared her expertise with several notable organizations, including the American Volleyball Coaches Association, the (former) PAC 12, the NCAA, the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Association, and many more!
Now in her ninth year as head volleyball coach at Augustana University, Dr. Jacobs resides in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with her husband, Scott, daughter, Juniper, and Great Dane, Mikey.
