Dr. Daheia Barr-Anderson is an Associate Professor in the School of Kinesiology at the University of Minnesota and the director of the Behavioral Physical Activity Lab. Her research interests focus on physical activity, sedentary behaviors, and obesity prevention in children and adolescents. She is particularly interested in home- and community-based environmental interventions that incorporate both physical activity and nutrition to achieve healthy outcomes and to decrease racial and ethnic health inequalities. In alignment with her personal love for yoga, she also explores yoga as a strategy to address cardiovascular risk factors in African American women.
