Terry Ganley

Head Women's Swimming & Diving Coach, University of Minnesota

Terry Ganley is the head coach of the Minnesota women’s swimming and diving team. In her eight seasons at the helm of the Golden Gopher program, Ganley has led the Gophers to five Big Ten titles (2008, 2012-15), three second-place Big Ten finishes and eight top-15 performances at the NCAA Championships. In the last six years with the women’s program, Minnesota finished at least 13th at the NCAA Championships including a program-best 9th-place mark in 2011 and that year three Gophers won national championships. In her tenure at Minnesota, more than 100 women’s student-athletes have earned more than 450 All-America certificates. Ganley is a Minnesota Women’s Athletics Hall of Famer and swam for Coach Jean K. Freeman. Prior to becoming co-head coach in 2004, Ganley was an assistant coach under the legendary Jean K. Freeman for 27 years and was named interim head coach upon Freeman’s retirement.
