Sami Reber

Head Varsity Hockey Coach, Edina High School

Sami Reber has been the head coach of the Edina Girls Hockey Varsity Team for two years. During her time as head coach, Reber has accumulated a record of 56-3-2 and has helped her team win back to back MN State Hockey Championships; their title in 2017 being the program's first ever. On top of two State Championships, during Reber's time at Edina, their team has been back to back Lake Conference Champions and Section 6AA Champions, Reber having been named the Section 6AA Coach of the Year in 2017. American Family Insurance also named Reber the All-USA High School Coach of the Year in 2017. Prior to returning to her Alma Mater of Edina, Reber served as an Assistant Coach for the University of Minnesota-Duluth's Women's Hockey Team from 2015-2016. While a part of UMD's program, Reber helped  coach the Bulldogs' attack to third in the WCHA in scoring offense, behind only Minnesota and Wisconsin. In addition, she helped the team sweep their way to the WCHA tournament semifinals for the first time since the 2011-2012 season.

During her playing years, Reber was a four time letter winner at Edina High School in hockey and a three time winner in soccer. A Ms. Hockey finalist as a senior, Reber was a captain for the Hornets and helped lead the team to its first three trips to the MN State Hockey Tournament. After graduating from Edina in 2011, Reber continued her hockey career at Harvard University for four years. Captaining the Crimson to the NCAA National Championship game in 2015, Reber joined Harvard's 100-point club as she amassed 108 points in 134 games on 26 goals and 82 assists. Reber remains on Harvard's top-10 all-time list for career assists.

Reber earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology while at Harvard. She now resides back in Edina working for Frauenshuh Commercial Real Estate while also continuing her dream of coaching her Alma Mater.
