Meagan Frank

SPARK PRESENTER. Head Men's Soccer Coach, Menomonie High School

Meagan Frank played four years of Division I soccer and a year of Division III basketball at Colorado College in Colorado Springs. In the twenty years since, she has coached boys and girls teams at practically every level. She was the Head Women's Soccer Coach at UW-Stout from 2006-2010 and is currently in her third year as the Head Men's Soccer Coach for Menomonie High School.

As the mother of three active children (ages 18, 15 and 12) and the wife of a college and high school hockey coach, Meagan has been involved with over 160 sports communities. As a writer and presenter, Meagan has intentionally invested time to learn and teach throughout her family's sports journey. She has presented nationally about coaching girls' and women's teams, parenting kids through sports, developing leaders, and dealing with toxic parent behavior. She works to learn about and promote causes that build better relationships in families and within teams, that support positive sports experiences for kids, and that enhance the lives of girls and women. She was part of the launch committee that brought Positive Coaching Alliance to Minnesota.

She has also invested the past six years intensely researching best youth sports practices.  She surveyed 800 people, conducted nearly 100 interviews in intimate "huddle" conversations about youth sports experiences,  and immersed herself in literally every potential role a parent can play in the youth sports world (board member, manager, and parent-coach). She is constantly expanding her list of resources and is currently compiling her findings into a book.
